An interesting note about our pumpkins:

We were looking for a nice farmers stand to buy some pumpkins on our way to camp. Out on a rural stretch of road we found one with lots of pumpkins as well as lots of produce for sale. Everything was marked with pricetags, we picked out four nice pumpkins, but no one was there to tend the store and take our money. The house behind the stand was a total dump and there were cats and geese running around--we weren't sure what to do because we couldn't even see a door to knock on. Finally a car pulled into the driveway and an older couple got out and started shopping through the produce. We asked them if they had been here before, and how we should pay for our pumpkins. They pointed to a locked box chained to a tree, and explained that we were just supposed to put our money in the box. "Don't expect change though", they added!
